A standard reference includes its edition. Use the reference index as a starting point and state the version required for the purchase.
Separate shape, material and performance
A dimensional reference does not, by itself, establish the material, property class or coating of a supplied part. Include those requirements explicitly.
Do not assume equivalence
DIN, ISO, GB and ASME references are not interchangeable by name alone. Have the exact editions and relevant dimensions checked before proposing a substitution.
